The Wolf Clan flute at left is hand made from aromatic eastern cedar. It has a carved traditional effigy woodpecker bird which is tied with deerskin.

The wolfprint is the trademark of an authentic Mark Barfoot flute.
Cedar is the wood of tradition and first choice for Native American flutes. The wood mellows as it ages to give an increasingly richer sound as time passes.
You will enjoy expressing your spirit and creativity when you play a Native American flute. Easily learned, the art of playing the flute is a very personal experience.

BIO

Mark Barfoot, Native American Indian Folk Artist, was born in 1952 in North America, the son of an Wolf Clan Onondaga mother and a Cherokee father.
He learned the art of finger weaving at a very young age. Much of what he learned was self taught, but he studied with elders from various nations to learn other mediums of Indian folk art. Mark creates a wide variety of fine craft art.

The list of handmade crafts at left are only a part of the life and learning of Mark Barfoot. As he travels the country selling his work, he shares his knowledge of the culture with those he meets.

Mark is also a musician. He plays the flute and has made 3 flute music CD's. Mark is available for flute performance at gatherings, shows, and private events.

At Mark's EatPrayDrum site, you can schedule a 2-day drum workshop at your chosen location, taught by Mark Barfoot. Mark makes personal appearances at shows, schools, colleges, and conferences in the interest of education and sharing the Native American Indian way of life with others. He performs with the flute, and gives talks about the Native American Drum and its importance in American Indian Culture.

Mark's work has been sold in the Smithsonian Museum for the American Indian's Gift Shops and is in many private shops and collections throughout the country.
